Comment on Proposal for a Play session: Creating a basis for historical GIS research in Amsterdam by Menno http://amsterdam2016.thatcamp.org/2016/10/25/proposal-for-a-play-session-creating-a-basis-for-historical-gis-research-in-amsterdam/#comment-56 Wed, 26 Oct 2016 10:48:57 +0000 http://amsterdam2016.thatcamp.org/?p=381#comment-56 We’ve got some 500 vanished Amsterdam buildings in the Verdwenen Gebouwen dataset. Most of them with a point geometry, but there are polygons as well (see www.verdwenengebouwen.nl/kaart#q=&type=&latminmax=%5B52.36714261803309%2C52.36878034293678%5D&lonminmax=%5B4.899188876152039%2C4.903212189674377%5D&inbbox=1 ). Most buildings are linked to depictions in the Stadsarchief Beeldbank.

BAG buildings might be interesting because of their building years.

Also, i’ve got a list of ± 1400 buildings depicted in the Stadsarchief Beeldbank, most not linked yet to either BAG or Verdwenen Gebouwen.

O, and to spark THATcamp ambitions i registered amsterdamtimemachine.nl 😉
