As a first-year PhD Candidate in early modern history at the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, I analyze early modern correspondences between the Dutch Republic and Tuscany, by means of network visualizations. I first studied linguistics, followed by Book and Digital Media Studies at Leiden University. During my studies I had an internship at the State Archive of Florence and I worked in various digital humanities projects at the Huygens Institute: Mapping Notes and Nodes in Networks and the Clusius Correspondence. I collaborated within the research group CREATE (Amsterdam University and the Royal Dutch institute of Rome), which allowed me to develop my interest towards the development of innovative visualizations.
